Whole Wheat Pita Bread

dry yeast and warm water

You know yeast is active if it bubbles a little when added to lukewarm water. 

Mix the 2 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour with 1 cup of warm water and 2 teaspoons of yeast. 

Knead in a little more flour so the dough isn't too sticky.  

Loosely wrap dough in plastic wrap. Let it rise until double in a warm place. 

Roll into 8 discs (1/4 inch thick). 

Bake in a hot oven for 3-4 minutes.
