Mongolian Tofu

soy sauce

cornstarch

ginger

garlic

hoisin sauce

black pepper

date sugar

sriracha

Merin

tofu

water

Step 1: Marinate tofu in soy sauce and Merin.

Step 2: Make the sauce. Cook garlic and ginger in a saucepan.

Step 3: Add the rest of the ingredients.

Step 4: Whisk in a slurry of cornstarch and water.

Step 5: Stir and let the sauce simmer and thicken.

Step 6: Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch.

Step 7: Air fry or bake the tofu until firm and crisp.

Step 8: Add the tofu to the  sauce.
