Instant Pot Tamarind Lentils

The sweet-tangy, barbecue flavor of tamarind lentils is a delicious and easy vegan meal we love! 🍋🍋🍋

Make in the Instant Pot or on the stove. 

What you need ~ lentils ~ tamarind paste ~ cumin seeds ~ onions ~ garlic/ginger ~ maple syrup ~ tomato paste ~ garam masala ~ cayenne pepper ~ vegetable broth

Fire up the Instant Pot in Saute Mode. Toast cumin seeds. 

Cook the onions, then add garlic, ginger, spices, maple syrup, tomato paste, and tamarind paste. 

Turn the Instant Pot off. Add broth, clean the bottom of the pot. Then add the lentils. 

High Pressure = 10 minutes.  NPR = 15 minutes.
