Granola Bars

8 Ingredients: ~ 2 cups rolled oats ~ 1/2 tsp. cinnamon ~ 1/4 tsp. allspice ~ 1 cup dates ~ 3 T. almond butter ~ 1 cup dried cranberries ~ 1 cup orange juice ~ 1/4 cup walnuts

1. Toast the oats in the oven (375) for 10 minutes.

2. Mix in the cinnamon and allspice.

3. Heat the almond butter, chopped dates, & orange juice.

4. From the saucepan to the blender. Blend until smooth.

5. Mix with the oats and spices.

6 Add cranberries or other dried fruit (we added Goji berries) and walnuts.

7. Mix well. It should be sticky and dense.

 Troubleshoot A. Batter too dry- add more orange juice B. Batter too thin (you can't form a ball with it - add more oats, fruit, or nuts. 

8. Press the mixture into an 8x8 -inch baking dish.

9. Bake at 375 degrees (F) until firm and slightly brown.
