Ingredients

  • 1 cup nutritional yeast
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1 tablespoon celery salt see notes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika smoked or sweet
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor.
  • Pulse or blend for a few minutes to mix the ingredients and break down the nutritional yeast.
  • Makes 1 ½ cups.

Notes

  • Substitute 2 teaspoons of ground celery seeds or flakes plus 1 teaspoon of salt for celery salt.
  • Store vegan chicken broth seasoning in a dry, airtight container or jar in a cool, dry place away from sources of heat or steam, such as your stove or Instant Pot. It stays potent and fresh for as long as the shortest expiry date of the individual ingredients.
  • Mix 2 teaspoons of chicken seasoning powder with 1 cup of hot water for a delicious vegan chicken broth substitute.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons of bouillon powder, ¼ cup each soy sauce and lemon juice, and you'll have an amazing chicken marinade for tofu or soy curls.
