Vegan Chipotle Avocado Dressing Recipe
Creamy vegan chipotle avocado dressing with a nip of spice and a twist of lime is oil-free and can be made in 15 minutes or less, including prep.

- 1 medium avocado
- ⅓ cup lime juice
- 1 clove garlic
- 1-2 teaspoons chili powder see notes
- 1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
- 3 medium green onions scallions
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- ½ - 1 cup plant milk
- ¼ teaspoon salt optional
Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh and place it in a blender.
Add the rest of the ingredients, except the plant milk, in the blender and blend until smooth.
Add ¼ of a cup of plant milk and blend. Then, start adding more plant milk until you reach the desired consistency. Taste and adjust the spices as desired.
- This recipe makes about 1 ½ cups of dressing, depending on how much milk you add. Nutritional information is based on ¼ cup of dressing.
- In place of chili powder and chipotle powder, use 1-2 teaspoons of my homemade chipotle seasoning blend.
- Store avocado dressing in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container for up to 2 days. Stir before serving, and add more lime juice to thin it out.
